Executive Advisor, Pricing and Commercial Strategy
at NorvenNorven - Advisory - London / Remote - UK and US A COMPANY BUILT FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DECISIONS Organisations are giving AI agents the authority to act inside systems that matter: payments, patient records, networks, public services, the models of frontier labs. Somebody has to decide what those agents may do, and be accountable for that decision. Norven exists to make that decision defensible. For a defined AI workflow, we establish what the system is configured to do, bring qualified specialist judgement to what it should be allowed to do, and produce a record the accountable owner can act on. The customer decides whether to proceed, restrict or change the deployment. We provide the evidence and the judgement behind it. We are early. We are founder-led and pre-revenue, with design-partner conversations under way across financial services, telecoms, healthcare, government and AI-native companies. We are building a business that compounds: each engagement makes the next one faster, each change a customer makes creates a reason to return, and in time Norven becomes part of how institutions release and change their AI systems. THE ROLE The commercial architecture of this company will be set in its first paid engagements. How software, specialist judgement and services are separated. What triggers a second purchase. How reuse becomes margin rather than discount. These decisions are hard to reverse, and most companies get them wrong by defaulting to consulting economics. We need one person who has made these decisions before, to advise the founders as we make them. This is an advisory seat with direct access to both founders. It carries no quota and no team. The founders retain every decision. The advisor's job is to make those decisions better. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shape the scope, price and terms of the first paid engagement.
- Define the separation between platform, specialist review and services, in pricing and in contract.
- Establish what change in a customer's system justifies a paid review, and how it is packaged.
- Determine when recurring pricing becomes credible, and what it should track.
- Build the costing model: founder, engineering and specialist effort, and the reuse metrics that show margin improving.
- Set the commercial evidence required before senior hires and capital. WHAT WE VALUE
- Operators who have been inside the institutions they sold to. You have deployed technology in enterprises, governments or AI labs, and you understand how a forward-deployed model is priced, scoped and turned into platform revenue.
- Judgement over credentials. We care what you personally built and priced, not the name on the building.
- Directness. You will tell the founders when they are wrong.
- Intellectual honesty about stage. You know what pre-revenue means and are interested anyway. WHAT WE REQUIRE
- A C-suite or equivalent senior commercial role at an enterprise software or infrastructure business: CEO, President, CRO, CCO, CFO or head of commercial.
- Personal ownership of pricing and packaging decisions during that company's transition from bespoke early work to recurring, embedded revenue.
- Experience pricing an offer that combined software with expert or professional services, and protecting its margin as it scaled.
- Experience selling to high-stakes buyers: regulated enterprise, public sector or AI labs.
- Availability for an advisory engagement with the founders, beginning with an initial three months. A portfolio of non-executive and advisory roles is common among the people we expect to hear from. It is not required. THE ENGAGEMENT An initial three months. Working sessions with the founders every two weeks, and selective involvement in key buyer conversations. Fee agreed before work begins. For the right person, a path to equity and a deeper role. APPLY Apply through LinkedIn. No cover letter. In a first conversation we will ask for one business whose commercial model you helped build, and one pricing decision you personally owned. Anonymised examples are welcome. For a confidential conversation: enquiries@norven.ai Norven does not name its founders in public adverts. You will meet them in the first conversation.
