Senior Buyer - Healthcare

About the role: The Senior Buyer is a key commercial role and project manager that supports the buying manager in managing all Asia purchasing activities across relevant healthcare categories. The position oversees key brand and portfolio management, including Boots Pharmaceuticals, Walgreens, potential Latin America own brand, and the wholesale brand Alvita. It also leads supplier management by developing suppliers and partnering with key Joint Business Partners, while serving as project leader for cross-functional teams. Working closely with internal customers across different markets, the role ensures that all agreed KPIs are met, and it acts as a category expert providing strong market insight. What you'll be doing?

• Carry out and deliver category sourcing strategy , initiate and drive YOY grow on responsible area
• Be independent to analyze business situation and propose quality sourcing decision
• End to End project management ensuring project are delivered on time in full and all set KPIs meet
• A team player and project leader to lead cross functional team project development activities
• Understand regulatory requirement for Medical device in US and Europe
• Supplier development: Able to drive and develop suppliers to fulfill company requirements
• Work closely with internal customers to cater their needs
• Provide market insight in his/her managed categories What you'll need to have:
• 5 years or above of sourcing and product development experience for UK and US retail market.
• Medical device sourcing and private label product development experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of the product categories
• Able to build good relationships and network with different groups
• Logical and analytical thinking, to make effective decisions
• Understanding of US/UK retail market
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills as well as capability to interact effectively with all levels
• Strong command of English and Putonghua, in both written and verbal
• Good team players with ability to work with associates from local team and overseas team
• Good market insights into relevant product categories
• High proficiency in MS Office skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
• Flexible working hours required. After office hour meeting with US required
• Travelling as required to support business needs It would be great if you also have:
• Understanding of medical devices and development and regulation requirements for UK and US preferred
• Familiar with retailing and brand management
• Strong project development skills
• Experience of working in Sourcing/ Buying office is preferred Work location:
