Autism Support Teaching Assistant - Join A Nurturing School Community

Plymouth | £95-£100 per day | Full-Time or Part-Time

REED Education are delighted to be supporting a specialist school that is looking to appoint an Autism Support Teaching Assistant.

You will play an important role in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition, helping them access learning, develop communication skills, and build confidence both academically and socially.

The successful candidate will join a highly supportive team that is passionate about ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive.

Responsibilities:

• Providing tailored support to meet individual needs.
• Supporting communication and social interaction.
• Encouraging participation and engagement in learning.
• Helping pupils manage transitions and routines.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff.

• A positive and nurturing approach.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in education, care, or support settings is beneficial but not essential.
