Test Analyst Placement - 12 Months - Leicester

The role Technology drives what we do at NEXT, and as a Tech Placement, you will be a vital part of our evolution. As a Placement Test Analyst based at our Leicester Head Office, you will join our rapidly growing technology team to play a crucial role in driving our business forward. You will make a real difference in a fast-moving retail environment by ensuring our technology meets the highest quality standards. Working closely with agile teams and key business users, you will be supported in an encouraging, fast-paced environment where you will learn about manual and automated testing strategies to build a great career. What You'll Take On

• Assisting in the production of test plans and the evolution of test strategies across our platforms.
• Interpreting functional specifications for new features and exploring edge cases to diagnose potential issues.
• Proactively liaising with the agile team and business users during testing phases.
• Providing timely updates, generating status reports, and alerting the team to any potential problems. What You'll Bring
• Current study towards a STEM degree (on track for a 2:1 or higher) or a STEM Master's degree that includes a 12-month placement, ideally with relevant studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
• An exceptional eye for detail and a systematic, logical approach to solving complex problems.
• Natural curiosity and a strong desire to understand how systems work, and how they might break.
• Clear and professional communication skills, allowing you to articulate findings to both technical and non-technical team members.
