Head of Finance

MM Search are delighted to be retained by Genius Foods on the appointment of a Head of Finance. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded finance professional to join a growing business and play a key role in shaping and developing its Finance function. Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will provide strong financial leadership, insight and control, partnering with the wider business to support performance, profitable growth and continued improvement. Reports To: Finance Director Direct Reports: Management Accountant, Commercial Financial Controller and Accounts Payable Lead Location: Bathgate Main Purpose

• Support business decision making through clear reporting, financial control, budgeting and forecasting.
• Produce accurate financial and management information with analysis that supports performance improvement.
• Maintain strong controls across month-end, balance sheet, reconciliations, audit and compliance.
• Lead P&L and cash flow budgets, forecasts and month-end delivery across Finance.
• Attend executive meetings as required to update on performance and projects. Roles and Responsibilities
• Deliver weekly and monthly reporting across sales, operations, cost centres, reconciliations and presentations.
• Prepare month-end reporting, including sales, operations, cost centre, customer, site and territory P&Ls.
• Deliver accurate monthly Group reporting to Katjes on time.
• Act as deputy to the Finance Director and support ad hoc CEO requests.
• Lead annual P&L and cash flow budgets and quarterly re-forecasts.
• Own weekly cash flow forecasting and communicate cash risks and opportunities.
• Manage Shawbrook Bank relationship and ensure debt covenant compliance.
• Lead the annual audit, timetable, deliverables and auditor communication.
• Own month-end controls, trial balance review, journals, accruals, fixed assets, intercompany and balance sheet integrity.
• Maintain robust reconciliations, key controls and compliance with Group accounting policies.
• Lead statutory reporting, tax, VAT, filings and audit evidence.
• Improve finance processes, reporting, systems and data quality through simplification and automation.
• Attend weekly and monthly executive meetings as required.
