Head of Credit Risk - £110k - £130k + Equity - 3 Days in London

📌 Role: Head of Credit Risk 📌 Location: Central London - hybrid (3 days in office) 📌 Salary: £110,000 - £130,000 + equity This is a super exciting, growing lending business that's reached the point where credit risk needs a dedicated leader of its own, rather than being shared across other roles, having grown 5x since its recent funding and now on track to 10x! You'll be shaping the function from the ground up, with real scope to build the policy, the team and the way decisions get made, rather than inheriting something already in place. The role sits at senior leadership level, working closely with the CEO and COO on how the business balances growth with risk. You'll set the credit risk strategy and underwriting approach, decide the risk appetite and lending criteria, and keep across how the book is performing, so problems get caught early rather than after the fact. You'll also shape how credit decisions get made day to day, working with Product and Data to sharpen the models behind them, and lead the credit team itself, staying close enough to the detail to get hands-on with individual decisions when needed. You won't be doing this alone. You'll work closely with Commercial on who the business lends to and how, with Product and Technology on the lending products themselves, and with the teams who see what happens after a loan is written, feeding that back into how the next one gets underwritten. So, if you have experience in:

• Credit risk leadership within lending
• A strong grasp of credit risk principles, methodologies and regulatory requirements
• Building and running credit risk strategy in a fast-moving environment
• Leading and developing a team of credit risk professionals
• Working hands-on with data rather than only reviewing reports
• A real interest in lending and what technology can do for it And can:
• Balance credit performance against growth, rather than optimising for one at the expense of the other
• Read complex data and turn it into decisions, not just reports
• Explain a credit concept clearly to someone outside the credit team
