Assistant Merchandiser

Assistant Merchandiser – London, up to £34,000, 6 month FTC We're looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join a fast-paced retail business, supporting the wider merchandising team in driving the commercial performance of the category. You'll use sales and stock data to understand performance, identify opportunities and ensure the right products are available at the right time. You'll have exposure to forecasting, trading, range planning and stock management, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their merchandising career. What we're looking for:

• Previous merchandising experience, ideally within retail
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Commercial and customer-focused mindset
• Confident communicator who can build strong stakeholder relationships
• Proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop
• Comfortable working with merchandising systems and data What you'll be doing:
• Reviewing weekly trading performance and identifying opportunities and risks
• Managing and updating sales, stock and availability forecasts
• Supporting range and SKU-level planning
• Monitoring stock intake and ensuring strong product availability
• Supporting store allocations and product launches
• Providing analysis to support trading and planning decisions
• Working with suppliers and internal teams to resolve stock and delivery issues
• Contributing to decisions around ranges, pricing and promotional activity
