Primary - SEN Teaching Assistant

Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant Required | Full-Time | Ongoing Position

REED Education are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a small, supportive primary school in Pimlico on a full-time, ongoing basis.

This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs, alongside delivering targeted support to small intervention groups. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supporting children with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and managing challenging behaviours effectively.

The Role

• Full-time, 5 days per week
• Ongoing position with potential for long-term opportunity
• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Working closely with the SENCO and class teachers
• Implementing behaviour support strategies and personalised learning plans
• Encouraging engagement, independence, and positive outcomes for pupils

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' recent experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant
• Strong experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs
• Confident managing challenging behaviour and de-escalation strategies
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive, patient, and resilient approach
