Head of Operations

Key responsibilities: The Head of Operations is responsible for the leadership, performance and strategical development of all operational activities across IHSS. This role will lead the General Manager team to drive business performance, process efficiencies and ensure the safe, efficient, compliant and profitable delivery of operational services. Key requirements:

• Significant senior operations leadership experience in a complex organisation.
• Proven success improving performance, service quality and operational efficiency.
• Strong people leadership, including developing managers and leading change.
• Demonstrable experience leading challenging or underperforming teams, addressing difficult behaviours, managing conflict and accountability, and delivering sustained improvements in performance, engagement and culture.
• Experience managing budgets, resources, suppliers and operational risks.
• Commercially focused, with sound financial and strategic judgement.
• Confident using data and KPIs to identify issues and drive decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of governance, compliance and health and safety requirements.
• Ability to translate strategy into clear, measurable operational plans.
• Resilient, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Degree-level qualification or equivalent senior leadership and management experience Experience leading an operational facility Experience producing and analysing performance reports and KPIs.
