Management Accountant

Role: Management Accountant / Finance Manager Location: North London Type: Permanent | Full-time | On site Salary: Up to £70,000

• Strong hands-on Sage 50 Accounts experience - essential* We're partnering with a fast-growing, founder-led beauty and personal care business looking for a hands-on Management Accountant / Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function across UK and international entities. This is a broad, operational role covering management accounts, month-end, stock and manufacturing accounting, e-commerce reconciliation, cashflow, VAT, controls, systems improvement and team management. The business needs someone who is comfortable getting into the detail, investigating discrepancies, improving processes and working closely with Directors, Finance, Operations, Factory and Warehouse teams. What you'll be responsible for
• Own monthly management accounts and month-end close across multiple entities
• Review P&L, balance sheet, cashflow and variance analysis
• Manage stock, inventory, COGS and gross margin reporting
• Review stock reconciliations, write-offs, product costs and manufacturing costs
• Support landed cost and BOM / manufacturing costing
• Reconcile Amazon, TikTok Shop and other e-commerce channels
• Prepare and maintain cashflow forecasts and working capital reporting
• Manage VAT, including import VAT / PVA where relevant
• Oversee intercompany and multi-entity accounting
• Support payroll, budgeting, forecasting, audit and statutory reporting
• Improve finance, stock, inventory and manufacturing processes
• Provide commercial insight around margin, pricing, cost control and profitability What we're looking for
• Strong hands-on Sage 50 Accounts experience - essential
• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified, or a strong finalist with one exam remaining
• Strong experience preparing monthly management accounts
• Proven ownership of the full month-end close
• Experience with stock, inventory or product-based accounting
• Strong knowledge of COGS, gross margin and reconciliations
• Experience with VAT, cashflow and working capital
• Strong Excel skills
