inance Automation Analyst – 6 Month Contract – Manchester I'm recruiting for a Finance Automation Analyst to join a major international organisation on an initial 6-month contract, working within a finance-related operational environment. This is a hands-on automation role focused on improving manual spreadsheet and data processes — building practical solutions that make reporting, reconciliation and data workflows faster, more accurate and easier to maintain. What you'll be doing:

• Automating spreadsheet, reporting and reconciliation workflows
• Building data validation and quality checks
• Developing solutions using Python and/or JavaScript
• Creating spreadsheet automation using Google Apps Script
• Working with Excel, Google Sheets, SQL and structured data
• Automating recurring MI and data-transformation processes
• Improving existing automated/email workflows
• Using modern AI coding tools to help build, test and document solutions
• Producing clear documentation so solutions can be maintained by the wider team What we're looking for: ✅ Strong Excel & Google Sheets skills ✅ Python and/or JavaScript ✅ Google Apps Script experience ✅ SQL and exposure to cloud data environments such as Snowflake ✅ Experience automating manual data or finance processes ✅ Git/GitLab exposure ✅ Strong reconciliation and data-quality mindset Experience within finance, treasury, insurance or another data-heavy financial environment would be particularly useful. 📍 Manchester 📅 Initial 6-month contract ⏱ 37.5 hours per week 🚀 Immediate/October start If you've built automations that have replaced manual Excel/Google Sheets processes and can combine finance/data knowledge with practical coding skills, I'd be very interested in speaking with you.
