Director Electronic Sales Trading

About the Company A leading international securities and capital markets platform is seeking an experienced Electronic Sales Trading professional to join its expanding APAC Equities business in Hong Kong. About the Role This is a senior client-facing leadership role focused on electronic execution, algorithmic trading solutions, and institutional client coverage across Asia-Pacific markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving franchise growth, enhancing execution capabilities, and leading a high-performing sales trading team. Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen relationships with institutional investors, hedge funds, asset managers, and other market participants across the region.
• Drive growth of the electronic trading franchise through innovative execution solutions and value-added client advisory.
• Partner closely with technology, quantitative and product teams to enhance trading platforms, execution tools, and algorithmic offerings.
• Advise clients on execution strategy, trading efficiency, and transaction cost optimization through detailed performance analysis.
• Ensure high-quality execution services while maintaining best execution standards and delivering exceptional client experience.
• Provide clients with timely market intelligence, liquidity insights, flow information, and market developments across regional equity markets.
• Oversee onboarding, connectivity, and trading infrastructure requirements to ensure seamless client access to electronic execution services.
• Work closely with Risk, Compliance, Operations, and other control functions to ensure a robust trading environment.
• Lead strategic business initiatives, process enhancement projects, and platform development efforts.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of sales traders, fostering collaboration and a strong performance culture. Qualifications
• Extensive experience within Electronic Sales Trading, Electronic Execution, or Equities Sales Trading gained at a leading global, regional, or institutional brokerage platform. Required Skills
• Proven track record managing institutional client relationships and delivering revenue growth.
• Strong understanding of APAC equity markets, market structure, execution venues, and electronic trading workflows.
• Experience working with algorithmic execution tools, transaction cost analysis, and trading performance measurement.
• Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing and developing teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across Front Office, Technology, Quantitative Research, Risk, and Compliance functions.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is highly desirable.
