We are inviting applications for a KS2 Teacher at a forward-thinking primary school in Bury St Edmunds. This full-time role is designed for a dedicated educator eager to contribute to the development of students in a 2 form entry setting. Each class hosts 23 students and benefits from the support of a teaching assistant.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences and adhere to the KS2 curriculum.
• Manage a classroom of 23 students, ensuring a safe, respectful, and vibrant learning environment.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants to effectively support the educational and emotional needs of students.
• Assess student progress regularly, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with parents to foster a supportive home-school relationship.
• Engage in school events, professional development opportunities, and staff meetings to enhance educational practices.
• Contribute to the school's curriculum development efforts and the creation of innovative teaching materials.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience in teaching KS2 or a similar educational setting is highly desirable.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students and inspire learning.
• Proven ability to create an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment that promotes learning and student well-being.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
