Business Development Director

The Opportunity Our client, an established property services and facilities management firm, is hiring a Sales & Business Development Manager . This is a high-value, tender-driven sale — targeting individual projects in the £300k-£2m range — for a business with over a decade of delivery behind it across design-build, maintenance, and compliance services. Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll be central to the firm's next phase of commercial growth. What You'll Own

• Securing a minimum of five new independent business clients per year through proactive prospecting, research, and networking
• Preparing tender submissions, capability documents, and commercial materials for maintenance, refurbishment, and project work — working closely with business unit leaders and the MD
• Maintaining and growing relationships with existing clients, acting as primary point of contact for commercial discussions
• Tracking pipeline performance, forecasting, and conversion through CRM, and reporting to leadership on a weekly/monthly basis What We're Looking For
• Experience managing large-value pipelines (£5m+), with strong forecasting and commercial awareness
• A strong background in quoting, proposal writing, and tender submissions
• Understanding of facilities management, maintenance, or project-based service delivery — or the ability to pick up sector knowledge quickly
• Confident, credible client-facing communication and negotiation skills
• Comfort working cross-functionally with operations, compliance, and finance to get commercially viable proposals over the line Compensation & Package £70k base + £120k commission Location & Logistics London Confidentiality & Process This search is being conducted on a confidential basis on behalf of our client.
