Business Analyst

The Role We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong data analysis and SQL skills to join a leading organisation within the London Market Insurance sector. This role will sit between business stakeholders and technology teams, helping to drive data-led decision making, gather requirements, analyse complex datasets, and support the delivery of key business and regulatory initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of London Market insurance processes and be comfortable working with large volumes of data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities. Key Responsibilities

• Gather, document and manage business requirements from stakeholders across the business.
• Analyse complex datasets using SQL to identify trends, anomalies, and business insights.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
• Work closely with technology, data, and delivery teams to support change initiatives.
• Perform data mapping, data validation, and gap analysis activities.
• Support UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings.
• Produce clear business process documentation and reporting. Essential Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the London Market Insurance sector.
• Strong hands-on SQL skills with the ability to analyse and interrogate large datasets.
• Experience working on data-focused transformation, migration, reporting, or system change projects.
• Excellent requirements gathering and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of insurance data and business processes.
• Experience producing functional and business requirement documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
