Are you an R&D Scientist who enjoys turning complex scientific ideas into practical technology? Looking for a hands-on role where you can experiment, solve technical problems and help shape new products? Our client is looking for an R&D Scientist to join a multidisciplinary technical team and contribute to research and product development from early-stage concepts through to testing and deployment. • Design, run and analyse experiments
• Develop new technical concepts, processes and applications
• Build data analysis and modelling tools using Python and/or MATLAB
• Work closely with engineering teams to turn research into practical solutions
• Contribute to customer-facing technical projects and collaborative R&D
• Build experience across research, validation and product development About You Our client would love to hear from scientists with experience in areas such as:
• Physics, optics, photonics or a related technical discipline
• Post PhD research experience
• Experimental or applied R&D
• Laser-based technologies
• Optical systems, waveguides or fibre technologies
• Python and/or MATLAB
• Translating complex technical findings into clear, practical outcomes You do not need to tick every box. Relevant or transferable scientific experience is very welcome.
