Power BI Analyst

Location: Birmingham (3 days per week on-site) Contract: Initial 3-6-Month Contract Hays are delighted to be working in partnership with a local authority to recruit an experienced Power BI Analyst on an initial 3-6-month contract. This role sits within the Performance Team in Street Scene, City Operations, a key function responsible for performance management, KPI monitoring, dashboard development, service efficiency projects, compliance reporting, and the delivery of management information to support operational decision-making. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the organisation's reporting capability, automating manual processes, and developing robust data solutions that provide valuable operational insights across City Operations services. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, administer and maintain Power BI reporting solutions.
• Design and build high-quality dashboards, reports and management information products to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Create and maintain performance dashboards and KPI reporting suites.
• Extract, transform and manage data from multiple systems and datasets.
• Develop and maintain structured data repositories to support reporting and governance requirements.
• Build automated reporting solutions that transform system outputs and data exports into accessible, user-friendly insights.
• Develop Power Automate workflows to streamline business processes and reduce manual effort.
• Support the ongoing improvement of data quality, governance, security and version control practices.
• Administer and develop SharePoint solutions, using SharePoint as a central repository for operational information and reporting assets.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate business needs into effective data solutions. Essential ExperienceTo be considered, you will have demonstrable experience in:
