Lead BIM Technician

I'm recruiting on behalf of an established Building Services consultancy seeking a Lead BIM Technician to play a key role in the successful delivery of complex MEP projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level BIM Technician, Revit Technician, or BIM Coordinator who wants to combine technical expertise with leadership, mentoring and project ownership. You'll join a collaborative team where your expertise will directly influence project delivery, BIM standards and the development of junior team members, while working on a diverse portfolio of building services projects. The Role As a Lead BIM Technician, you will take ownership of BIM and Revit delivery across multiple Building Services projects, ensuring high-quality models, drawings and coordination throughout the project lifecycle. You'll work closely with engineers, technicians and multidisciplinary design teams to deliver coordinated solutions and drive BIM best practice across the business. What You'll Be Doing

• Leading BIM and Revit delivery across a range of Building Services and MEP projects
• Producing, developing and managing detailed MEP models and technical drawings
• Coordinating mechanical and electrical services within multidisciplinary project teams
• Carrying out model reviews to maintain accuracy, consistency and quality standards
• Managing BIM deliverables in line with project requirements and industry standards
• Resolving design coordination and clash detection issues using BIM tools
• Maintaining and developing BIM models throughout project lifecycles
• Supporting BIM standards, workflows and continuous improvement initiatives
• Mentoring and developing junior and intermediate BIM professionals
• Attending design, coordination and project meetings as required What You'll Need To be successful in this BIM Technician position, you'll ideally have:
• Strong experience within Building Services / MEP environments
• Advanced Revit MEP skills
• Experience delivering BIM Levels 4A, 4B, 4C and Level 5 projects
• Strong understanding of BIM coordination and model management
• Experience producing detailed MEP models and technical drawings
• Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary design teams
• Clash detection and coordination experience
• Knowledge of BIM standards, processes and project delivery requirements
• Experience mentoring, supporting or guiding less experienced technicians
• Good understanding of mechanical and/or electrical building services design Desirable software experience includes:
• Navisworks
• AutoCAD
• BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
