Insurance UAT Tester

Location: Hong Kong My client is a leading Pan-Asian life insurance group, renowned for its dynamic culture and commitment to changing the way people feel about insurance. To support their ongoing Finance Transformation initiatives, they are seeking a hands-on UAT Tester to join their Finance Transformation team in Hong Kong. Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute UAT test cases and scenarios based on business requirements for Finance system projects, covering areas such as premium collection, AML control, reconciliation, and reporting
• Validate end-to-end finance processes (e.g. payment application, journal entry generation, reconciliation breaks, and report outputs) against functional design specifications
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Finance users, and IT to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage aligns with real business scenarios
• Log, track, and retest defects in a timely manner; provide clear status updates on UAT progress and outstanding issues
• Support UAT planning, test data preparation, and coordination of user participation during test execution
• Assist in preparing UAT completion reports and sign-off documentation to support go-live readiness
• Participate in defect triage meetings and help identify gaps between expected business outcomes and system behavior Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• 2–3 years of experience in UAT / business testing, preferably supporting Finance system or transformation projects
• Hands-on experience preparing and executing test cases for financial processes (e.g. cash application, reconciliation, general ledger posting, or reporting)
• Familiarity with accounting principles and journal entry processes is an advantage; exposure to Oracle financial systems is a plus
• Experience working with Life Insurance or financial services domain is preferred but not mandatory
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow test scripts while identifying potential issues or gaps
• Good communication skills to work effectively with Finance users, Business Analysts, and IT
• Proficient in MS Excel; experience with test management tools (e.g. JIRA) is an advantage
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese)
