Syndicate Finance Contractor 6 month FTC Insurance £100,000-110,000 pro rata London - hybrid working What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the preparation and delivery of year end accounts across the syndicates
• Setting up the annual accounts process for the new year, rolling forward comparatives and supporting the consolidation of accounts supporting Lloyds documentation
• Spotting synergies and automation opportunities across the syndicates, building checklists and review steps so that outputs are consistent and easier to deliver
• Carrying out a full review of balance sheet accounts
• Making sure every reconciliation is properly reported, setting out its purpose, process and the minimum supporting evidence required
• Supporting regulatory year end workings, setting up robust and scalable processes where they are new and streamlining those already in place
• Reviewing the finance inputs, recommending and implementing changes that streamline and optimise the workings
• Automating production of Board and Audit Committee papers
• Fully documenting all processes, with the right controls identified and put in place What We're Looking For
• Qualified accountant or qualified by experience withing insurance with working knowledge of Lloyd's reporting requirements
• Strong documentation skills, with the ability to turn complex processes into clear, repeatable procedures
• Strong numeracy and excellent attention to detail
