Electrical Engineer - Substation

When Hong Kong Tramways was founded in 1904, the 26 tramcars of the first fleet were all single-deck. After more than 100 years, we now own and operate a fleet of 165 tramcars which includes 2 antique trams and 1 sightseeing tram. It is the world's largest double-deck tram fleet still in operation, carrying an average of 200,000 passengers every day. Responsibilities

• Manage the E&M maintenance work of a 11kV traction substation
• Manage the traction power supply network
• Carry out underground power cable maintenance
• Maintain the signaling system and carry out improvement projects
• Supervise maintenance teams and contractors to carry out corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance
• Investigate system failure incidents and troubleshoot
• Monitor safety issue
• Handle emergency fault calls and troubleshooting Requirements
• Degree holder in Electrical, Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Corporate member of HKIE / IET or other equivalent professional bodies is an advantage
• Minimum 6 years' experience in electrical projects, preferably in substation maintenance
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance and fault diagnostics
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and presentation skills
• Good knowledge in control system and electronics
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Candidate with more experience could be considered as Senior Electrical Engineer
