The Opportunity

A respected and growing accountancy practice in Chelmsford is seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join its established and supportive tax team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to further develop their career within a forward-thinking firm that offers genuine progression opportunities, a varied client portfolio, and exposure to both compliance and advisory work.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of personal tax and/or corporate tax clients
• Preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns
• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns
• Assisting clients with tax planning and advisory matters
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients
• Identifying tax-saving opportunities and providing proactive advice
• Supporting managers and partners on complex tax assignments
• Assisting with the training and development of junior team members

About You

• ATT, CTA, ACA, or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
• Previous tax experience gained within an accountancy practice
• Strong technical knowledge of personal tax, corporate tax, or mixed tax
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
• A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
