VP Special Situations - London

VP, Special Situations (Litigation Finance) | London We're working with a founder-led, global special situations investor on a Vice President hire in London. The role will lead the build-out of its European pipeline. The firm invests opportunistically across complex situations, using flexible capital to back differentiated opportunities across structures, asset types and jurisdictions. Legal assets are a growing focus for its European business. The role

• Report directly to the founder, with real ownership of the European pipeline
• Originate, structure and execute investments across special situations, opportunistic credit and litigation-related assets
• Build relationships with law firms, restructuring advisers, insolvency practitioners, sponsors, corporates and co-investors
• Design creative structures with strong downside protection and take deals from term sheet to exit
• Help shape the firm's London presence as it grows The profile
• Typically 8 to 12 years at a top tier platform: private credit (direct lending, opportunistic credit, special situations or capital solutions), mid-cap private equity, or restructuring
• Proven origination, with deals you sourced yourself
• Exceptional structuring skills and a generalist mindset across sectors and the capital structure
• Substantial European transaction experience
• Litigation-related deal experience is a big plus: litigation finance, claim monetisation, award enforcement or insolvency claims This is a rare chance to join a lean, entrepreneurial team in a front line seat with real autonomy.
