THE ROLE This is a proper player-manager role, not a watered-down assistant title. Youll keep running your own accounts across the East of Scotland, dealing directly with contractors and housebuilders, while also leading and mentoring a small, early-career internal sales team and deputising for the branch manager whenever hes out. THE CANDIDATE Youve come up through a builders, timber, plumbing or similar trade merchant background, sales-led rather than pure operations, and youve already got the product knowledge and the customer relationships most people spend years building.
