Information Governance Officer

Locum Information Governance Officer | FOI / EIR / Data Protection | 6-Month Contract Vivid Resourcing is working with a public sector organisation seeking an experienced Information Governance professional to join its team on an initial 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior candidate with strong expertise in Freedom of Information, Environmental Information Regulations and Subject Access Requests to take ownership of a varied caseload and support the team in managing ongoing demand. The Role:

• Managing FOI, EIR and Subject Access Requests from receipt through to final response
• Applying relevant exemptions and exceptions, including conducting Public Interest Tests where required
• Undertaking Internal Reviews and helping to reduce an existing backlog
• Supporting the management of Data Protection complaints
• Managing an independent caseload and issuing responses on behalf of the organisation
• Working collaboratively with a small team to manage requests across multiple departments The Details:
• Contract: Initial 6 months
• Rate: Competitive, with flexibility for stronger candidates
• Start Date: ASAP
• Working Pattern: Flexible, with no mandatory office attendance
• Experience: Senior-level experience in FOI, EIR and Subject Access Requests essential
• Background: Local authority experience desirable but not essential The organisation handles approximately 200 FOI requests and 50 Subject Access Requests each month, making this a great opportunity for an experienced professional who can confidently manage a busy caseload and contribute to improving response times.
