Finance Manager

Reed Finance are pleased to be supporting a growing multi-site organisation, who is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.

Reporting to the Managing Director and managing a small finance team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring strong financial control, delivering timely management information and supporting key business decisions.

This is a broad and varied role offering full ownership of the finance function within a well-established business, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager looking for autonomy and exposure to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Ownership of the finance function across multiple business entities.
• Production of monthly management accounts, reporting and financial analysis.
• Cashflow forecasting, treasury management and banking activities.
• Management of month-end processes, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Oversight of payroll, pensions, VAT and statutory compliance.
• Management of purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control activities.
• Stock valuation, costing and inventory reporting.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and commercial decision-making.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements across finance and operations.

About You

• ACCA, CIMA, ACA qualified or Qualified by Experience.
• Previous experience in a leading finance role within a hands-on SME environment.
• Strong management accounting and reporting experience.
• Proven cashflow management and financial controls expertise.
• Experience overseeing payroll, VAT and statutory compliance.
• Sage 50 and Sage Payroll experience advantageous.
