Operations & People Director- fast-growing social impact business London/Manchester (hybrid 3-4 days in office) c£100k Want to build the operating engine of a fast-growing, purpose-led business at a genuine moment of scale? We're partnering exclusively with a well-funded social impact business in affordable housing as they move into their next phase of national growth. They're looking for a People & Operations Director to own the people, processes, systems and ways of working that will allow the business to scale efficiently. Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Founder, this is a broad, senior and very hands-on role. No property or housing experience is needed. They're particularly keen to meet people from tech, startups and fast-growth businesses. What you'll do

• Own people and culture across the full employee lifecycle
• Lead talent, operations, AI, brand and marketing specialists
• Build and embed scalable processes across the business
• Improve systems, technology and AI adoption
• Remove bottlenecks, reduce inefficiency and keep the organisation lean as it grows
• Create clear accountability and stronger ways of working
• Oversee areas including compliance, ESG, internal communications and events
• Stay close to the detail and step in when something needs to get done What they're looking for
• Strong Business Operations / BizOps experience, ideally within tech
• Experience in a scale-up or high-growth environment
• Ideally experience helping a business grow from around 30 to 80 people
• Strong ownership of people, talent and culture
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent process implementation and commercial judgement
• Confidence with technology, automation and AI
• High emotional intelligence, low ego and a bias towards action This is for someone who does the work as well as leads it.
