The role A key part of the role will be supporting and coordinating fast-moving custom-music projects. You will need the communication and analytical skills required to interpret client briefs, analyse work in progress, prepare clear, constructive and detailed composer feedback, in order to coordinate revisions and keep projects moving smoothly towards tight deadlines. As your experience develops, you will take ownership of selected custom projects yourself. The role is deliberately varied and will also include:

  • Developing album concepts, references and composer briefs.
  • Researching trailer targets, creative trends and emerging opportunities.
  • Helping devise targeted playlists for clients.
  • Reviewing composers and external submissions.
  • Supporting composer communication and project coordination.
  • Contributing ideas across Evolving Sound's wider creative activity. Composition and production experience would be extremely valuable. If you don't have that background, you'll need at least 1 year's experience working in a music supervision/coordination role, liaising with and briefing composers, and a clear understanding of musical terminology.  About you You will ideally have:

  • The ability to analyse and explain structure, arrangement, production, emotion and editorial function.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • The confidence to express musical ideas and feedback clearly and constructively.
  • Strong organisation, judgement and attention to detail.
  • A calm and adaptable approach to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Intellectual curiosity and an appetite for work that tests creative boundaries and gets the absolute best work from our writers.
  • A collaborative, service-minded approach to working with clients, composers and colleagues. You might already work in trailer music, production music, sync, music supervision, composer relations or another adjacent field. Equally, you might be an exceptional music or screen-music graduate with relevant composition or production experience and the breadth of ability to develop quickly. What we offer This is an opportunity to develop genuine expertise in high-end trailer music while working closely with experienced creative leadership. You will receive structured training and mentoring, progressive responsibility and the opportunity to help shape a newly created role. Some flexibility will be required for time-sensitive projects and communication with Los Angeles-based clients.  Applying Please send:
  • Your CV.
  • A short covering note explaining why this varied role appeals to you and what you feel you can bring to the position.

  • A brief description of a piece of music you believe works particularly well in a trailer, explaining what it achieves and how.
