D365 CE Enterprise Technical Architect

D365 CE Technical Enterprise Architect Remote or London Hybrid Permanent Role overview We are looking for a Technical Enterprise Architect to provide architectural leadership across complex transformation programmes built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE (CRM), Power Platform and the wider enterprise application landscape. You will define target architectures, guide strategic technology choices and establish governance. Your goal is to ensure business applications, data, integration, security, and cloud services work together as one coherent whole. You will own the enterprise architecture for Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform adoption. Recommendations must reflect client outcomes and the existing estate rather than default to a single vendor, so a working awareness of platforms beyond Microsoft is important. Key responsibilities Architecture ownership

• Own the enterprise architecture for Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform adoption across client programmes.
• Guide architecture across Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, Customer Insights, Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages and Copilot Studio.
• Define current-state and target-state architectures, along with the transition roadmaps that connect them.
• Lead decisions on whether to configure, extend, integrate, build or retire, balancing cost, risk, speed and long-term supportability. Strategy and design authority
• Guide strategic technology choices across business applications, data, integration, security and cloud services.
• Assess the existing estate, including platforms beyond Microsoft, and recommend the option that best serves the client outcome.
• Set integration patterns and data architecture, covering master data, data migration, reporting and analytics.
• Shape security, identity and access models, including environment strategy and Dataverse security design. Governance and leadership
• Establish architecture governance, design principles, standards and review processes.
• Chair or contribute to design authority forums and sign off solution designs.
• Guide solution architects, technical leads and developers so delivery stays aligned to the target architecture.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and explain complex technical decisions in clear business terms.
• Support presales activity, discovery workshops and proposals where architectural input is needed. Essential skills and experience
• Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or Lead Solution Architect on large Dynamics 365 CE (CRM) and Power Platform programmes.
• Deep knowledge of Dataverse, Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service and Customer Insights, and the wider Power Platform.
• Strong grasp of integration architecture, including Azure Integration Services, APIs, event driven patterns and middleware.
• Experience designing data, security and identity models, including Microsoft Entra ID and environment strategy.
• A track record of setting architecture governance and running design authority on complex, multi-workstream programmes.
• Working awareness of enterprise platforms beyond Microsoft, such as Salesforce, ServiceNow or SAP, and the confidence to recommend them where they fit.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and present options clearly. Desirable
• Experience with Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI or wider AI and agent capabilities within Dynamics 365.
• Background in Azure cloud architecture, Microsoft Fabric or modern data platforms.
• TOGAF or a similar architecture framework certification.
• Microsoft certifications such as Power Platform Solution Architect Expert or Dynamics 365 Customer Experience Analyst.
