Position Details Position Information Position Title Oakes Museum Teaching Docent - $8.00/hour Position Type Student Number of Open Positions 1 Department Oakes Museum of Natural History (2404) Campus Main Campus (Grantham) Supervisor Helena Cicero Work Period Acad Yr 2025-26 Hours Per Week 10 Duration of Appointment Fall, Spring Work Schedule weekends, occasional evenings/weekdays Position Description Position Summary Lead tours, help with field trips/homeschool programs, and Saturday programming. Major Preferred Education or biology, preferred but not required. Experience Required working with a variety of ages of children Preferred Required Experience Preferred Skills, Characteristics Required for Position Ability to learn a large amount of information and to convey that info to a group of visitors; friendly; flexibility; Dress Code Requirements Oakes Museum t-shirt (provided) and business casual pants (no jeans) Special Working Conditions May require Saturday work Required Background Check Required Yes Primary Duties
