Referment is working with a fast-growing fintech whose payment platform charges merchants 0% processing fees, monetising instead through value-added services. Already trusted by thousands of UK businesses, it is winning significant interest from mid-cap and enterprise merchants. You'll be an Account Executive selling into mid-market merchants — businesses with turnover from £10m to £100m+ — where the pitch is a genuinely straightforward one: reduce payment costs and improve the customer payment experience. That gives you a clear value proposition to sell against incumbent payment providers, and you'll have the wider sales, product and engineering teams behind you to refine the go-to-market approach. The Role

  • Lead outbound sales efforts targeting mid-market merchants across the UK.
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting and qualification through to negotiation and deal closure.
  • Identify key decision-makers and build internal champions inside target businesses to progress deals.
  • Build and maintain a strong, qualified pipeline and consistently deliver against revenue targets.
  • Work with sales, product and engineering colleagues to refine value propositions and go-to-market approaches.
  • Keep Salesforce, CRM data, pipeline forecasting and activity reporting accurate and up to date. What We're Looking For
  • A proven track record in B2B sales, selling into mid-market businesses — ideally in fintech, SaaS, payments or another industry where the proposition is operational efficiency or cost saving.
  • Experience selling to merchants or payment decision-makers, and a clear understanding of how to develop internal champions and stakeholders within an organisation.
  • Commercial awareness: you can articulate business value and savings propositions credibly.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues alike. This could suit a senior AE from a payments provider, fintech or cost-saving SaaS business who enjoys owning the full sales cycle and wants a differentiated product that undercuts incumbents on price.
