Business Change Lead – IBA Accounting, Digital Underwriting & Shared Services Job type: Permanent Industry: Insurance / London Market About the role An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Change Lead to drive transformation across insurance finance, digital underwriting and shared services within a growing insurance business. You will lead the implementation of a group-wide IBA accounting platform, manage the operational relationship with an offshore shared-services provider and drive the adoption of improved digital underwriting processes. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong insurance operations knowledge, systems implementation experience and the ability to deliver change across multiple business areas. Key responsibilities

• Lead the business design and implementation of an IBA accounting platform, covering premium and claims processing, cash allocation, credit control, commission and carrier settlement.
• Ensure client money controls, CASS 5 reconciliations and risk-transfer arrangements are appropriately reflected in new systems and processes.
• Coordinate accounting process harmonisation and the onboarding of acquired entities.
• Manage the day-to-day relationship with an offshore shared-services provider, including service reviews, SLAs, KPIs and escalations.
• Coordinate change initiatives affecting shared services, including resource planning, process transitions and updated operating procedures.
• Identify opportunities for automation, continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Drive the digitisation of underwriting journeys across quote, bind, issue and renewal.
• Lead business requirements, stakeholder engagement, training, readiness and adoption for new systems and processes.
• Support wider enterprise system rollouts, including HR platform implementation. About you
• 8+ years' experience leading finance or operations change within insurance.
• Hands-on experience delivering an IBA or insurance broking accounting system implementation.
• Strong understanding of premium and claims accounting, client money, CASS 5, risk transfer and London Market settlement.
• Experience managing an offshore outsourcing or shared-services relationship, including SLAs, governance and process transitions.
• A proven track record of delivering system implementations from design through to go-live and adoption.
• Experience applying a structured change management methodology, such as Prosci or APMG.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and business process improvement skills. Experience within an MGA, coverholder, London Market broking or specialty insurance environment would be advantageous. An accounting or insurance qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or ACII, is desirable, as is exposure to digital underwriting platforms.
