Intellectual Property Solicitor - Summertown, Oxford - Up to £105,000 + Benefits + Bonus A highly regarded Legal 500 law firm is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Solicitor to join its growing Commercial team in Oxford. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an ambitious IP lawyer to take a leading role in the development of a dedicated Intellectual Property practice. With an established Corporate & Commercial team generating significant demand for specialist IP advice, the firm is looking to invest in an experienced solicitor who can help shape, grow and lead this offering. The successful candidate will enjoy a high degree of autonomy, strong internal referral opportunities and the backing of an established client base spanning sectors including technology, innovation, life sciences, professional services and high-growth businesses. The Role:

• Advise clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters
• Manage trade mark registration, portfolio management and enforcement matters
• Provide advice relating to copyright ownership, licensing and infringement issues
• Assist clients with design rights protection and strategic IP management
• Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial IP agreements, including licensing, franchising, collaboration and research & development agreements
• Advise on the intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions, investments and M&A deals
• Handle domain name disputes, online brand protection matters and reputation management issues
• Manage cease and desist actions and support clients through intellectual property disputes
• Work closely with the Corporate & Commercial team on cross-disciplinary matters
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing clients while developing new business opportunities About You:
• Qualified Solicitor status with 7+ years' PQE in Intellectual Property law
• Experience handling both contentious and/or non-contentious IP matters
• Strong technical expertise across trade marks, copyright, design rights and commercial IP agreements
• Experience advising clients in innovation-led sectors such as technology, life sciences, research or professional services
• Excellent commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem solving
• Strong business development abilities and a genuine interest in building a practice
• An existing referral network, client following or demonstrable track record of generating work would be advantageous
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
