Referment is working with a dual-regulated FX and payments technology company that helps SME and mid-market businesses manage currency risk and move money across borders. Its platform combines multi-currency payments with self-serve hedging tools, distributed through partner channels as well as direct relationships, and the business has grown quickly following significant recent investment. This is a senior, hands-on sales role for someone who has already proven they can close. Reporting to the Head of Sales and based in central London, you will own your own book of business end-to-end, running full deal cycles solo from first conversation through to close, while acting as the senior presence on the floor — stepping in as a closer to help colleagues land accounts and mentoring an Analyst or BDR through their own pipeline. What sets this role apart is the trust it carries: you'll hold spot and forward execution rights, with real ownership over how a trade gets done rather than just how it's sold. The Role

  • Own and run a personal book of business end-to-end, from prospecting through to solo close, against monthly targets of 10 qualified accounts, 4 meetings or demos booked and 3 new accounts.
  • Maintain a high, consistent level of outbound activity — around 50 communications a day — as the engine behind your own pipeline.
  • Execute spot and forward FX deals directly for your clients, owning both the sale and the trade.
  • Step in as a closer on colleagues' accounts when needed, without taking primary ownership of that business.
  • Act as a point of reference and informal mentor for Analysts and BDRs, passing on the technique and product knowledge that got you here, and manage a direct report's development if given one as your first step into people leadership.
  • Work fluently across CRM, dealing and execution platforms; flag manual steps that should be templated, automated or handed off, and use dashboards to manage your pipeline proactively rather than waiting to be told where the gaps are.
  • Collaborate with Account Directors and other senior sellers to share best practice, and build cross-functional relationships with operations and onboarding to keep clients' experience smooth end-to-end. What We're Looking For
  • A proven track record of closing FX or similar B2B sales deals solo, consistently and repeatedly.
  • Strong working knowledge of spot and forward FX products, and confidence discussing them with clients directly.
  • Comfortable carrying and being accountable for a personal revenue target.
  • Sound judgement — able to assess risk, prioritise and decide without needing every step signed off.
  • A genuine instinct for coaching and developing less experienced colleagues. Useful additional background includes prior mentoring or informal leadership of junior sales people, familiarity with options or other structured hedging products even without direct execution experience, exposure to CRM and sales-engagement tooling, and a record of winning back or growing accounts beyond their original scope. This could suit a proven closer at an FX broker, payments fintech or bank who wants execution rights rather than a hand-off model, and a first taste of developing others while still carrying their own number. You will need the right to work in the UK.
