Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Quality Engineer / QA Automation Lead to drive test automation strategy across complex web applications, microservices, and native mobile ecosystems. In this role, you will act as a Quality Engineering SME, designing scalable, resilient automation frameworks and embedding quality throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). You will partner closely with cross-functional development teams to enforce high engineering standards, advance continuous testing within DevOps pipelines, and mentor engineers across the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Automation Framework Design: Design, architect, and maintain scalable UI and API automation frameworks from scratch using Java, Playwright, Selenium, and RestAssured.
• End-to-End Quality Ownership: Lead automation strategies for microservices architectures, web frontends, and native mobile applications (iOS/Android).
• CI/CD & DevOps Integration: Integrate automated test suites directly into modern CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI) to enable rapid feedback loops and quality gates.
• Engineering Best Practices: Champion Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and Page Object Model (POM) design patterns while enforcing clean code principles.
• Performance & Security Testing: Execute and oversee performance, scalability, and security validations (e.g., OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, load/stress testing using tools like k6 or JMeter).
• Cloud Infrastructure Validation: Test and validate distributed microservice applications deployed across public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Developers, Product Managers, and DevOps Engineers to refine user stories, identify edge cases, and drive shift-left testing practices.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Establish quality metrics, define risk-based testing approaches, and mentor QA and software engineers on automation standards and testability. Minimum Qualifications
• 6+ years of progressive experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation across frontend and backend systems.
• Hands-on expertise with mandatory stack:
• Automation Frameworks: Playwright (Java) and Selenium (Java)
• API / Microservices Testing: RestAssured
• Strong proficiency in Java and standard build tools (Maven / Gradle).
• Deep understanding of automation architecture patterns, including Page Object Model (POM), TDD, and BDD (Cucumber/SpecFlow).
• Proven experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps).
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON schemas, web services, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with source control, defect management, and collaboration tools (Git, Jira).
• Strong working knowledge of clean code principles, refactoring, and Agile/Scrum engineering workflows.
• Excellent technical leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
