Role Overview

We're looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to join our Summers-Inman team within Bellrock Consulting, delivering a wide range of professional building surveying services across a varied client portfolio.

Working closely with clients and project teams, you'll manage refurbishment and construction projects, undertake building surveys, provide contract administration services and offer practical, expert advice throughout the project lifecycle.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects, building strong client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a wide range of professional Building Surveying services, ensuring projects are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
  • Manage refurbishment, extension and construction projects, including contract administration and monitoring works on site.
  • Prepare technical specifications, schedules of work, reports and other project documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact and providing professional advice throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Plan and manage project resources, workloads and budgets to ensure efficient and commercially successful delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, consultants and other disciplines to deliver a seamless service to clients.
  • Support the preparation of fee proposals, tenders and bids, identifying opportunities to grow existing and new client relationships.
  • Manage project accounts, monitor costs and contribute to the overall financial performance of the business.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, helping develop team capability and maintain high professional standards.
  • Support Associate Directors and Directors with business development, project delivery and wider team objectives.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Building Surveying, ideally with MRICS or MCIOB chartership, or equivalent practical industry experience.
  • Strong experience delivering professional Building Surveying services across a range of property and construction projects.
  • Experience preparing technical specifications and schedules of work for refurbishment and extension projects.
  • Good understanding of contract administration, including pre- and post-contract services.
  • Experience managing projects, monitoring construction works and ensuring quality throughout delivery.
  • Confident undertaking condition surveys, with experience in Party Wall matters and dilapidations being advantageous.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, with the ability to produce and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a professional, client-focused approach.
  • Highly organised and commercially aware, with the ability to manage multiple projects, budgets and priorities independently.
  • A proactive, collaborative team player who enjoys sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues and delivering high-quality work.

AI fluency & learning mindset: We are looking for people who actively use AI in their day‑to‑day work, demonstrate strong curiosity about new technologies, and take ownership for continuously improving how they think, work, and deliver.
