The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Administrator to join a busy and growing finance team based in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with financial data, has strong attention to detail, and is looking to develop a long-term career within a supportive and professional working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing high volumes of financial data accurately and efficiently
• Maintaining both Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger records
• Matching, batching and coding invoices
• Processing supplier invoices and customer payments
• Performing account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
• Updating and maintaining accurate financial records within the accounting system
• Supporting the wider administrative team with general duties where required
• Ensuring all transactions are processed in line with company procedures
• Assisting with month-end processes and reporting activities

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience within an Accounts Administration, Accounts Assistant, or Finance Administration role
• Strong working knowledge of Sage Accounting software
• Experience with Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger functions
• Proven experience of matching, batching and coding invoices
• Reconciliation experience
• Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
