Accounts Payable Clerk

Reed are currently working you a very successful and established provider of both cleaning and maintenance services to a range of clients across the UK. They have approached Reed to support them with their search to hire an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their dedicated finance team based out of their head office in Croydon. As the newly appointed Accounts Payable Clerk you will have some experience of working in a dedicated accounts role preferably with exposure to accounts payable duties. You will be confident in using Excel and had experience of using an accounts system eg Sage 50.

Your duties and responsibilities will include :

• Full responsibility for the purchase ledger process
• Posting approximately 500 purchase invoices per month onto Sage 50 (manual entry and Excel upload)
• Matching purchase orders and proof of deliveries to invoices
• Liaising with suppliers to resolve invoice queries and disputed charges
• Coordinating the client recharge process and accurately coding invoices in Sage
• Preparing and processing the monthly purchase payment run in Sage, liaising with Directors on disputed invoices
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Posting weekly bank and card payments
• Reviewing and posting payments on account
• Managing the Accounts Payable inbox
• Liaising with internal teams, including Operations and Directors
• Supporting with ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks as required

Your experience, skillsets and experience will include :

• Previous accounts experience required with a preference for accounts payable experience.
• Confident using Excel; experience with Sage 50 is desirable
• Well-organised with strong attention to detail
• A proactive team player with good communication skills

Salary range is £26,000-£28,000 dependent on experience.
