Health Care Professional - Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship - Driver

Home Instead Salford is an award-winning domiciliary care provider, supporting older adults to live independently and comfortably in their own homes across Salford and the surrounding communities. They are recruiting for new health care professionals who are caring and compassionate. You must have a driving licence!

What you'll do

• Providing person-centred care and support tailored to individual needs
• Supporting people with daily routines and activities
• Providing companionship and meaningful social interaction
• Supporting individuals living with dementia, including promoting independence, reassurance and well-being
• Assisting with meals, personal care and mobility where required
• Taking part in activities that promote social engagement and quality of life
• Building positive, trusting relationships with the people you support
• Working as part of a wider care team and communicating effectively with colleagues and families
• Following care plans, safeguarding procedures and health and safety requirements
• Maintaining accurate confidential care records

Training

• Adult Care Worker Level 2
• Maths and English if requested/required

You will not attend college for this apprenticeship, all training will be done in the workplace

After the apprenticeship

To be employed as a qualified full-time carer upon completion.

Apprenticeship details

• Course: Adult care worker (level 2), Care services
• Apprenticeship level: Intermediate (level 2)
• Training provider: SALFORD CITY COLLEGE
• Expected duration: 1 Year 6 Months
• Hours: 30 hours a week. Working week: 7 days per week available (30 hour per week minimum contract – 48 hours per week). Hours to be agreed.
• Start date: 7 November 2026
• Positions available: 3
• Wage: £17,160 a year
