Beauty Therapy Apprenticeship

If you are keen to start a career within the beauty industry and are keen to listen, watch and learn from highly qualified and skillful practitioners this could be the starting point for you. You must be a confident communicator, love all things beauty and be prepared to work hard in all aspects of clinic work.

What you'll do

You will be fully trained in line with legal, industry and clinic requirements in:

• Waxing
• Hand and nail treatments
• Foot treatments
• Facial and skin care treatments
• Eyelash and eyebrow treatments
• Makeup application
• Basic massage treatments

Your job role will also include:

• Reception duties
• Supporting therapists
• Practice skills on models
• Salon hygiene
• Maintenance and housekeeping duties

Training

This programme is delivered via a day release delivery model which means that one day per week, your attendance is required at our Derby Road Campus. This attendance is required during term time only.

You will work with expert assessors and tutors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession.

You will experience a blended learning model.

After the apprenticeship

Apprenticeship details

• Course: Beauty therapist (level 2), Hair and beauty
• Apprenticeship level: Intermediate (level 2)
• Training provider: WEST NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COLLEGE
• Expected duration: 1 Year 3 Months
• Hours: 30 hours a week. Working week: Hours will be discussed at interview but will involve working Saturdays and a day at West Notts College in Mansfield.
• Start date: 2 November 2026

• Wage: £12,480 a year
