Hairdressing Apprenticeship

Rizzo Hairdressing Limited are offering the chance for a candidate to take part in a Hairdressing Apprenticeship. An excellent opportunity for an Apprentice to complete their Level 2 Hairdressing qualification in an established salon in Shrewsbury. Working as a hairdresser to provide hair cutting and styling services.

What you'll do

This role will be a Hairdressing Apprenticeship to join a customer focused team. The role and duties will include but not be exhaustive:

• Supporting the client journey experience
• Supporting stylists
• Stock control
• General housekeeping
• Attend training to complete the hairdressing qualification / standards

Training

• Level 2 Hairdressing apprenticeship standard
• Functional Skills in Maths and English if required
• A day per week training at City of Wolverhampton College (Telford Campus)

After the apprenticeship

• There may be the potential to build a clientele to run your own column at the end of the apprenticeship

• Essential: GCSE, English and Maths (grade 3/D or above)

About the employer

Rizzo was established in 1995 by Deborah Hinton. She opened her first Salon in Telford. The business soon grew which lead her to open her second salon in Shrewsbury town in 2002. Rizzo is a family-run business, the Shrewsbury salon is where Deborah's daughter Jayde started her successful hairdressing career at just the age of 15 years old. Jayde now successfully supports her mum in the business as she manages the Shrewsbury Salon, while Deborah ensures the smooth running of both of the salons and taking care of the team.

Deborah and Jayde are both very passionate about maintaining a high standard of customer care and skill to all clients as well as ensuring all members of the team are well looked after and happy within Rizzo.

Apprenticeship details

• Course: Hairdressing professional (level 2), Hair and beauty
• Apprenticeship level: Intermediate (level 2)
• Training provider: CITY OF WOLVERHAMPTON COLLEGE
• Expected duration: 2 Years
• Hours: 30 hours a week. Working week: Working hours are to be agreed with the employer.
• Start date: 27 October 2026
• Positions available: 1
• Wage: £12,480 a year
