Level 2 Hairdressing Apprenticeship

An exciting opportunity to join a busy and friendly salon in Hull. Learn professional hairdressing skills while working alongside experienced stylists. Gain hands-on experience in cutting, styling, colouring, client care and salon operations whilst achieving a recognised Level 2 Hairdressing qualification.

What you'll do

• Welcome clients and assist with consultations and customer care
• Shampoo, condition and prepare clients for hair services
• Support qualified stylists with cutting, colouring and styling services
• Maintain salon cleanliness and presentation to professional standards
• Promote salon products and services to clients
• Book appointments, answer telephone enquiries and help with reception duties
• Develop practical hairdressing skills through supervised training

Training

As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

After the apprenticeship

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the apprentice may progress into a permanent hairdresser/stylist position within the salon. There may also be opportunities to undertake advanced hairdressing training, specialist colour qualifications, salon management development or further industry qualifications.

Apprenticeship details

• Course: Hairdressing professional (level 2), Hair and beauty
• Apprenticeship level: Intermediate (level 2)
• Training provider: TEC PARTNERSHIP
• Expected duration: 2 Years
• Hours: 30 hours a week. Working week: Approximately 30-40 hours per week including Saturdays. Shifts to be confirmed with the employer.
• Start date: 2 November 2026

• Wage: £12,480 a year
