Level 2 Hairdressing Apprentice

Carbon 6 is looking for a hardworking individual to join their team as a hairdressing apprentice. You will spend your days working on clients and learning the varying techniques and skills required to be a hairdresser. The apprenticeship will be full-time and is an amazing opportunity with a salon with a proven track record with apprentices.

What you'll do

• Shampooing and conditioning clients
• Greeting clients and answering the phone
• Using the booking system
• General day-to-day cleaning of the salon
• Applying colour and foils
• Overall assistance of the stylist

Training

You will be required to attend weekly college sessions to cover additional practical master classes, alongside structured theory sessions, to enable you to cover the Hair Professional Standard requirements.

Training will take place at Skills Group Training Academy, Derry's Cross, Plymouth. PL1 2SG.

The apprentice will gain:

• Level 2 qualification in Hairdressing
• Functional skills in maths and English (if required)

After the apprenticeship

• Having completed the Level 2 qualification, there will be an opportunity to work towards an Advanced Level 3 to further enhance your skills or to stay on as a full-time stylist

Carbon 6 Studio is a Plymouth based salon that has been open for 3-4 years now that offers such services as: Hair, nails, brows, lashes, spray tans, laser hair removal, facials, aesthetics/fillers, microblading and semi permanent makeup.

• Apprenticeship level: Intermediate (level 2)
• Training provider: SKILLS TO GROUP LIMITED
• Expected duration: 2 Years
• Hours: 30 hours a week. Working week: Exact days and times to be discussed and confirmed with the employer within the opening times below:

Tuesday, 09:00 - 19:00.

Wednesday, 09:00 - 17:00.

Thursday, 09:00 - 19:00.

Friday, 09:00 - 18:00.

Saturday, 09:00 - 16:30.
