Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship

What you'll do

• Supporting children aged 0-5 years with their care, learning and development
• Building positive, caring relationships with children and helping them feel safe, happy and confident
• Taking part in fun, creative activities such as arts and crafts, messy play, music, stories, outdoor play and sensory experiences
• Supporting children's learning through play and exploration
• Helping children develop their communication, language and social skills
• Supporting children's everyday routines, including mealtimes, personal care, toileting and sleep routines
• Getting involved in planning activities based on children's individual interests and needs
• Observing children's development and contributing to their learning journeys
• Creating a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children to learn and have fun
• Working closely with your team and learning from experienced Early Years practitioners
• Developing positive relationships with parents and carers
• Learning about and following important areas such as safeguarding, health and safety, safer eating and safer sleeping
• Completing your apprenticeship training and putting your new knowledge and skills into practice

Training

Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship (or Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship for those with experience.

Support with English and Maths skills gaps.

Work based learning.

End point assessment.

After the apprenticeship

A full time position will be offered upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Essential: GCSE, Maths and English (grade D-3 or Level 1 FS)
• Desired: GCSE, English and Maths (grade A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 FS)

• Expected duration: 1 Year
• Hours: 40 hours a week. Working week: Monday - Friday between 7.00am and 6.00pm (set days).
• Start date: 16 November 2026

• Wage: £16,640 a year
