Product Governance Apprenticeship Programme

Our Product Governance team helps make sure insurance products continue to meet customers' needs and provide fair value.

As an apprentice, you'll learn how products are reviewed, analyse data and customer feedback, spot trends and risks, and help shape improvements that deliver better outcomes for customers.

What you'll do

• Build your knowledge of insurance products and the regulations Howden must follow.
• Learn how insurance products move through their life cycle, from initial design and launch to review, improvement or withdrawal.
• Support regular reviews to check that products meet the needs of their intended customers and continue to offer fair value.
• Review information including claims data, customer survey results, satisfaction measures and complaints.
• Help compare product performance and customer outcomes against relevant regulatory expectations.
• Collaborate and gain exposure to colleagues across broking, claims, insurers, risk, compliance and other areas of the business.

After the apprenticeship

Our apprentices join Howden on permanent contracts from day one. After successfully completing the 18-month programme, you'll transition out of the apprenticeship and continue developing your skills, expertise and career within your chosen area of the business.

Apprenticeship details

• Course: Insurance practitioner (level 3), Legal, finance and accounting
• Apprenticeship level: Advanced (level 3)
• Training provider: WISER ACADEMY LIMITED
• Expected duration: 1 Year 6 Months
• Hours: 37.5 hours a week. Working week: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5:30 pm.
• Start date: 13 September 2027
• Positions available: 1
• Wage: £23,000 a year
