Engineering Lead - Enterprise Data Provisioning - GCP

Job Position: Engineering Lead - Enterprise Data Provisioning with GCP Location: London, UK(Hybrid) Type of Hiring: Contract(6+ months) : Key technologies/products: GCP: BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Spanner, Pub/Sub, Dataplex. Data Architecture: Data Mesh, Data Products, Enterprise Data Models, Data Fabric, Event-Driven Architecture, Data Warehousing. Data Engineering: ETL/ELT, dbt-based transformation frameworks. AI: RAG, Agentic Engineering, GenAI applications, AI-assisted engineering accelerators. Leadership & Delivery: Portfolio governance, investment planning, organisational transformation and executive reporting. Skillsets required: Must have experience:

• Clear, demonstrable experience as a Head of Department/Director running all aspects of financial, people, change and stakeholder management.
• Clear, demonstrable experience of Leading complex technology and people change across a complex, regulated matrix organisation.
• Clear, demonstrable experience of leading large, multi-location engineering teams to achieve business desired outcomes at scale of 6 – 12 feature team Lab size.
• Clear, demonstrable experience of architecting, developing, delivering, and transitioning at least 2 data warehouse transformations or data migrations to Cloud.
• Establishing transformation roadmaps, intervention plans, and executive reporting structures.
• Managing complex dependencies across technology, architecture, platform, and business teams.
• Must have experience developing AI-led engineering teams. Core skills:
