Solutions Architect
Gravitas Recruitment Group GlobalRole: Solution Architect (Non – Profit) Salary: £60,000–£64,910 Location: London hybrid (2 days in office) A national charity is building a new design and architecture function following a wider technology team restructure. There are some foundations in place, but this is a chance to help create the practices, standards and ways of working that will guide future technology decisions. The goal is to understand the current application landscape, improve what's there and support a clear path towards the charity's future needs. As its new Solution Architect, you'll be close to delivery: getting into requirements, producing high- and low-level designs, and helping teams make sound technical decisions. You'll work across major programmes and smaller improvements, with the autonomy to make a visible contribution in an organisation whose work has a meaningful social impact. Why this role?
- Build something new: Help establish robust but lean architecture practices rather than inherit a fully formed function.
- Work across a varied estate: Current work includes digital front-end transformation, HR systems procurement and CRM rollout.
- Make your expertise count: Work with colleagues across the charity and help shape solutions that support its long-term mission. What you'll do
- Assess requirements and the wider application landscape, then produce practical solution designs.
- Create high- and low-level designs covering considerations such as data, security and integration.
- Help develop architecture standards, practices and governance.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and suppliers, constructively challenging designs where needed.
- Explain technical choices clearly to stakeholders with different levels of technical knowledge. Essential skills
- Experience delivering solution architecture and detailed technical designs.
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft stack and modern cloud platforms.
- Understanding of architecture frameworks, governance, risk and compliance.
- Experience working across teams and with third-party suppliers.
- Clear communication, sound technical judgement and a proactive, hands-on approach. Desirable experience
- Microsoft D365 development or migrations.
- A background in engineering, applications, systems analysis or infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps, automation or AI.
- Experience in a charity or another mission-led organisation. If this is of interest, apply today and one of the team will be in touch to discuss further.
