Head of Architecture

Head of Architecture | Up to £155,000 + Car allowance + Bonus | Hybrid working from St Albans or High Wycombe An opportunity for an experienced Architecture leader to define and drive enterprise-wide technology strategy, governance and architectural direction within a large, complex organisation. This role will lead the Architecture function, ensuring technology investments, roadmaps and solutions align to business objectives while promoting simplification, resilience, innovation and cost optimisation. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the global Architecture team and capability.
• Own enterprise and domain architecture strategies and roadmaps.
• Establish architecture governance, standards and best practices.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data and Security teams to shape technology decisions.
• Drive technology simplification, reuse and reduction of technical debt.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, resilient and cost-effective.
• Lead strategic technology investment and architecture decisions.
• Champion innovation and responsible AI adoption.
• Engage and influence senior business and technology stakeholders Required Experience
• Significant experience in Enterprise Architecture or senior technology leadership roles.
• Proven leadership of architecture teams within large, complex environments.
• Strong experience developing technology strategies, roadmaps and governance frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Background in architecture across cloud, data, integration, security and enterprise platforms.
• Experience driving transformation, simplification and technology modernisation initiatives
