RENAL CARE ASSISTANCE Band 3 PETERBOROUGH RENAL UNITS UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS OF LEICESTER Full time An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 3 to work on the Haemodialysis unit in Peterborough, caring for 179 patients .The unit is open from 07:00 -23.00 Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and 07:00- 19:00 on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Previous experience in renal/ haemodialysis is desirable but not essential, as full in-house training and support will be given. Ideally you will be qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent and have at least 12 months experience in a care setting. The team you will be joining is dedicated to training of both staff and patients. The management team is highly visible at the unit. You Also Need To Have Ability to work as part of a team or independently.

• • Setting up Dialysis Machines
• Connecting and disconnecting patients from dialysis
• • Performing observations pre and post Dialysis.
• • Caring for patients during Dialysis
• • Stock management
• • Assiting trained staff as required A desire to deliver a high standard of care to chronically ill patients
