Ground Maintenance Operative

Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Operative Job Type: Permanent Salary: £26,272 per annum Location: Mobile role covering residential sites between Cambridge and Peterborough Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to maintain outdoor areas across multiple residential sites between Cambridge and Peterborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining grounds, operating gardening machinery, driving company vehicles and ensuring outdoor areas are clean, tidy and safe. Key Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles and transport plant, machinery and equipment between sites.
• Carry out general grounds maintenance, including grass cutting, leaf and debris clearance, litter picking, and hedge and shrub trimming.
• Operate gardening equipment, powered hand tools and ride-on machinery.
• Maintain flower beds and landscaped areas.
• Spread salt and grit during colder weather to ensure pathways remain safe.
• Carry out basic maintenance checks on vehicles and gardening machinery.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Deliver excellent customer service when working at residential sites. Essential Requirements
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Previous professional grounds maintenance or gardening experience.
• Experience using gardening machinery and powered tools.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety procedures.
• A practical, reliable and proactive approach to work.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to travel between multiple sites across the Cambridge and Peterborough areas. What We Offer
